Brown Memorial Chritian Methodist Episcopal Church shares a rich
history with Louisville Kentucky. For more than a century Brown
has been an integral part of the religious community and a key
contributor to the spiritual growth of many families who call
Louisville home. Brown Memorial, you have offered your sons and
daughters to the city of Louisville, Kentucky, and to our great
nation as teachers, lawyers, clergy, politicians, musicians, public
safety personnel and almost every vocation thinkable. I am proud
to be a part of this tremendous heritage and thankful to God for
the oppotunity to serve as Pastor of Brown Memorial. Though Brown
Memorial has lost many soilders of the cross by death, some moved
away, other joined other denominations, however, we are thankful
for our new families and for our Spiritual growth. Our Church
has a "family" atmosphere. We laugh together when we
are happy and cry toghether when we are sad. At times we have
our differences, but in the Spirit of Jesus Christ, we have learned
how to disagree amiably. For we remember that no one is too great
to be humbled by God. |
